The DEUTZ TD2.9 L04 is a 2.9-liter, inline 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel meeting EU Stage V / EPA Tier 4 Final emissions. It delivers 40–75kW (54–100 HP) at 2200–2600 RPM, with peak torque around 280–350 N·m from 1400 to 1800 RPM. Unlike larger Stage V engines, this model typically requires only DOC or DOC+DPF — no SCR — reducing installation complexity and fluid costs. Key features: compact cast-iron block, common rail injection (up to 1800 bar), and single-side service access (all filters and alternator on one side). Service intervals are 500–750 hours.
