The DEUTZ BF4L914 is a 4-cylinder inline air-cooled turbocharged diesel engine with 3.8L displacement, delivering 50–75 kW at 2000–2500 rpm. Designed for compact equipment where space is limited — skid steers, small pavers, and refrigeration units. The axial cooling blower eliminates radiator, water pump, and coolant hoses, reducing overall length by 150mm compared to liquid-cooled equivalents. Mechanical governor and in-line injection pump allow on-site adjustments without laptops. Individual cylinder barrels enable partial rebuilds. Each unit includes 12V starter, 55A alternator, and oil-bath air cleaner option for dusty sites. Supplied with SAE 4 flywheel housing. Optional low-profile oil pan for ground clearance. Compatible with original Deutz 914 mounting patterns.
