The DEUTZ BF4M1013EC is a 4-cylinder inline, turbocharged and after-cooled diesel engine, displacing 4.8L. Rated at 90–110kW at 2200–2400 rpm, it balances compact dimensions with Euro II compliant output for space-constrained machinery like telescopic handlers, asphalt pavers, and refrigeration units. Unlike larger 6-cylinder siblings, this EC variant features a split cooling system — independently regulating cylinder head and block temperatures — reducing thermal stress during start-stop cycles. Its unit pump injection delivers 1600 bar peak pressure for cleaner combustion without a DPF. Dry weight of 480 kg simplifies retrofitting into existing engine bays designed for Perkins or Yanmar. Each unit includes a vibration-damped flywheel housing and low-profile oil pan to suit inclined operation up to 25 degrees. We provide dyno sheets showing torque curve linearity from 1200 rpm.
