1. Features of Deutz engine: 1) One of the world's three major engine brands, Cummins, Deutz, and Perkins. 2) Brand models include: BMF1013, BMF1015, BMF2012, and BMF2013. 3) Power range: 30KW-440KW. 4) Small size, high power, low noise, and low emissions. 4) Easy to start in cold weather, and can burn 0# diesel in very cold weather, saving costs compared to burning -10# diesel.

2. Advantages of Deutz engine: 1) Strong applicability, structural matching and performance matching, small size, light weight, and high power-to-volume ratio. 2) Good versatility of parts, high degree of serialization, convenient repair and maintenance, and short time. 3) Strong power. 4) Very reliable, with an overhaul time of 13,000 hours.

3. Antifreeze must be used for the cooling medium of Deutz engine, whether in winter or summer.

4. The fuel pump of the Deutz engine is different from that of other manufacturers. It is installed at the fan end and is a split independent type. It is driven by a belt and connected to the water pump pulley. This design protects the engine. When the belt breaks for some reason, the diesel pump will stop working and the engine will be turned off. This avoids the high temperature generated by the engine continuing to work without knowing it due to the termination of the coolant circulation, which causes cylinder pulling, bearing seizure and other faults.

5. Each cylinder of the BF6M2012 engine has a separate single pump. All models of Deutz engines have one cylinder near the flywheel section and six cylinders at the fan end. The engine uses an electronic regulator without an oil cut-off valve, while the mechanical governor has an oil cut-off solenoid valve.

6. The opening temperature of the thermostat of the BF6M2012 engine is 83°, and the opening temperature of the BFM1013 is 81°.

7. The low-pressure oil circuit of the Deutz engine fuel is located inside the cylinder block. In winter, it can preheat the fuel. In summer, when the oil in the low-pressure pipe returns to the tank, it can take away a lot of heat and play a role in cooling the engine body. The temperature of the return oil is very high, but it does not exceed 78°.

8. The cooling nozzle of the piston is on the main bearing. There are two oil holes on the main bearing, one for lubricating the main bearing and the other for spraying oil on the piston. The cooling nozzle is made of plastic. After the engine burns the bearing, the nozzle will melt or deform at high temperature. At the same time, the oil channel becomes coarser, and the injection pressure becomes lower and cannot be sprayed on the piston to cool it, causing the bearing to burn again.

9. After the failure of the crankshaft bearing coating falling off occurs, the nozzle should be disassembled for cleaning to prevent normal lubrication after clogging.

10. The measures to reduce the wear of the cylinder liner during use are: 1) Start and start correctly. After cold start, idle for a few minutes, wait until the friction surface is lubricated before moving, and do not throttle when idling. Do not operate any action when the water temperature is below 40°. 2) During the operation of the machine, try to keep the coolant within the normal temperature range and work at medium speed as much as possible. 3) Correctly select and use lubricants, choose lubricants with the best viscosity according to different seasons and choose lubricants of the same brand and model. (4) Strengthen the maintenance of the "three filters" to minimize the entry of mechanical impurities into the cylinder.

11. Crank-connecting rod mechanism: The crankshaft main journal can be reduced by up to two levels, each level is 0.25mm, for repair. At the same time, the main bearing can be installed and dynamic balance detection can be performed, otherwise the engine vibration will be too large.

12. Piston ring: The first one is a trapezoidal gas ring with the top surface facing the combustion chamber. The second one is a conical gas ring with the top surface facing the combustion chamber. The third one is an oil ring. When installing the piston ring, the opening direction of the air ring spring should be staggered 180° with the opening direction of the oil ring

13. Valve mechanism: BF6M is equipped with 6+1 bushings, BF4M is equipped with 4+1 bushings. The bushing near the flywheel end is different from the other bushings, and the rest are the same. The Deutz camshaft drives the valve and the unit pump at the same time. The tappet must be installed before installing the camshaft. The camshaft and the camshaft gear are integrated. They cannot be disassembled during maintenance. Only the camshaft assembly can be replaced. The tappet is on the camshaft. When replacing the tappet, the crankshaft and camshaft must be removed, and then the tappet must be replaced.
