1. What are the causes of insufficient lubricating oil pressure?
Answer: (1) The pressure regulating spring of the lubricating oil pump is broken, causing the oil pump to self-circulate, reducing the oil supply to the system, and lowering the oil pressure.
(2) Insufficient circulating oil volume.
(3) Air entering the lubricating oil system.
(4) Bearing damage or excessive clearance, causing lubricating oil leakage.
(5) A large amount of lubricating oil is lost due to loose pipe connections or ruptured oil pipes.
(6) The lubricating oil pump inlet valve is closed due to vibration.
(7) The lubricating oil filter is too dirty, causing excessive pressure drop.
(8) The machine oil sump or lubricating oil circulation tank is damaged, and the circulating oil level drops.
(9) The lubricating oil is overheated, resulting in too low viscosity, etc.
If the lubricating oil system pressure is insufficient, the oil pressure should be increased using the lubricating oil pump pressure regulating valve. If the pressure still cannot be increased to the normal value, the cause must be immediately identified and repaired, otherwise it is easy to cause serious machine damage accidents. If the pressure drops suddenly, the machine should be stopped to investigate the cause.
2. What are the reasons for insufficient cylinder lubrication oil supply?
Answer: (1) The check valve in the cylinder oil injection joint fails, causing backflow of combustion gas and affecting oil injection.
(2) The oil injection volume of the injector is adjusted too low.
(3) The transmission mechanism of the injector is loose or malfunctioning.
(4) The injector pipeline joint is damaged and leaks oil.
(5) There is air in the oil injection pipeline system.
(6) The injector suction filter is blocked or the oil injection pipeline is blocked.
The injector must be checked regularly, and the injector should be shaken to determine whether the oil supply is normal. During navigation, the duty officer should closely monitor the operation and oil supply of the injector. If cylinder oil supply interruption is found, the engine should be slowed down or stopped to troubleshoot the problem.
3. What are the reasons for the lubricating oil low-pressure alarm?
Answer: Reasons for the exhaust gas turbine lubricating oil alarm:
(1) The oil tank is out of oil or the turbine lubricating oil pump is malfunctioning. The fault should be quickly identified and eliminated. (2) The turbine lubricating oil filter is too dirty, causing excessive pressure drop. The filter shaft should be rotated to scrape off the dirt.
(3) The turbine oil pump motor's starting control line is disconnected due to vibration, causing the oil pump to stop.
The main engine lubricating oil low-pressure alarm signal is generally triggered by:
(1) Insufficient oil level in the lubricating oil circulation cabinet or a malfunction of the lubricating oil pump itself.
(2) Air being drawn into the system by the lubricating oil pump.
(3) Leakage at pipe connections or damage to the oil pipes, resulting in lubricating oil loss.
(4) Overheating of the lubricating oil, resulting in excessively low viscosity.
(5) Severe blockage of the lubricating oil filter, causing excessive pressure drop, etc.
